ALGERIA: Our Community Engagement with Smallholders

Locally-relevant information was always presented

LifeStock engaged with the Merrick and Company to deliver a series of on-line trainings to field, academic, and government veterinarians, on community engagement with smallholders.

During 2021 and 2022, on-line training occurred, in FRENCH, on biosafety, biosecurity, risk assessment, and key transboundary and zoonotic diseases.

At the conclusion of the trainings, all participants were required to design and execute a community engagement training activity, geared to smallholders, to help bring them into the surveillance system, control the worst diseases, and so improve food security and public health.
