Our education involvement at the 2022 Student American Veterinary Medical Association Symposium

Minneapolis 2022

(SAVMA) Symposium 2022

Dr. Corrie Brown  gave a talk explaining that, in foreign countries, diseases which disrupt the economy or public health must be controlled before a private veterinary workforce can expect to become sustainable.

Explaining early-warning systems

At SAVMA, we also emphasized that a major effort of LifeStock is to bring farmers into the overall surveillance system, to create early-warning systems to help control the major diseases of concern.  Dr. Brian Joseph gave more details on working with smallholders in various developing countries around the world, and the tremendous satisfaction it can provide. He noted that it requires adequate preparation in areas not usually taught in standard veterinary curricula.

The LifeStock exhibit booth at SAVMA had a steady traffic of students interested in working with us.

Students are always welcome to interact with LifeStock...
