In 2016, we officially founded LifeStock International as a non-profit. Our intent is to share expertise in veterinary medicine with our international partners and guide them in development of their own programs. This way, they can effectively engage with their agriculture systems to secure food supplies and enhance economic development.
We do this by helping countries, universities and international programs secure the specialized expertise they need. We focus on improving animal health, food systems, and local economies.
We want every person we work with to feel that their individual, cultural, and collective experience is welcome in the field of veterinary medicine. Our challenges are not straightforward or simple, and it takes a corps of professionals who can listen, respect, and learn from each other to solve them. This is the culture we hope to foster in our organization and our colleagues.
With these efforts and our enthusiasm for this work we think we can, along with our collaborators, help create better economic and production outcomes for livestock owners around the world. To this end, all of our funds go back into helping smallholders.
As a growing organization, we are building our list of passionate volunteers, qualified professionals, and committed veterinary students.
